What I hold, and how to make me delete it.
Plain version. I collect the least I can get away with, I use it to talk to you, and I delete it when I no longer need it. The detail is below.
Last updated 23 August 2026
Who I am
I’m Gabi Preston-Phypers. Truth Moves is my trading name, under Tooled Up Raccoons Ltd, company number 12888329, registered in England. I am the data controller for everything described here, which means the decisions about your information are mine and the responsibility is mine.
Data protection contact
→Gabi Preston-Phypers, hello@truthmoves.com. There is no team and no ticket queue. It comes straight to me and I answer it myself.
I’m registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as a data controller. That registration sits under Tooled Up Raccoons Ltd, the company Truth Moves trades under.
What I collect, and why
The form on the Talk page
→Your name, your email, and whatever you write in the message box. I use it to reply to you. Nothing else. The lawful basis is your consent, which is the box you tick before you send it.
Booking a call
→The calendar is run by Calendly. When you open it, Calendly collects what you type into it and sets its own cookies in your browser. That is Calendly’s processing under their own privacy notice, and I see the booking that comes out of it. The calendar does not load until you scroll to it or open it, so if you never go near it, it never runs.
Hosting
→The site is hosted by Netlify, who keep short-lived server logs including your IP address. That is how any website stays up and keeps attackers off it. The lawful basis is legitimate interests, specifically keeping the site working and secure.
Traffic figures
→I use Netlify Analytics, which counts visits on the server rather than in your browser. It sets no cookies, it does not follow you to other sites, and it does not build a profile of you. I see page counts and where traffic came from, not who you are.
Fonts
→The two typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means your IP address reaches Google when the page loads. No cookie is set. I am looking at serving the fonts from this site instead so that stops happening.
Working together
→If we go on to work together, I hold the things any consultancy holds: contact details, notes, proposals, invoices. The lawful basis is our contract, and for the accounting records, my legal obligation to keep them.
There is no advertising on this site, no tracking pixels, and no third party gets your details to sell you something. I do not sell data, and I never will.
What I keep, and for how long
An enquiry that goes nowhere is deleted after 24 months. If we work together, I keep the client record for 6 years after our last piece of work, because that is how long a contract claim can be brought in the UK and how long the accounting records have to exist. After that it goes.
Confidentiality is the whole proposition, so it is worth saying plainly. What you tell me in a session is not shared with your board, your investors or your team. If I work with your people, what they tell me stays with them. You get what I am finding, not who said it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, ask me to stop using it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not undo anything I did before you withdrew it.
Email Gabi Preston-Phypers at hello@truthmoves.com and say which one you want. No form, no process, no reason needed. I will do it within one month, and usually the same week.
If you think I have handled your information badly, tell me first and I will fix it. If that does not satisfy you, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Where it goes
Netlify and Calendly are US companies, so some of this data is processed outside the UK. Both operate under the transfer safeguards the UK requires, including the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
Changes
If this notice changes I will change the date at the top. There is no mailing list, so nothing arrives in your inbox about it.
